DESCRIPTION:RYA First Aid Course\n\n1 Day - 17th December 2025 starting at 
 0900\n\nWeymouth &amp\; Portland Area\n\n£75 + VAT per delegate.\n\nThe o
 ne-day classroom course is taught by instructors with considerable boating
  experience. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat\, whether on inland wat
 ers\, rivers\, estuaries or on cross channel passages.\n\nTopics include C
 PR combined with drowning protocol\, bleeding\, head injuries\, cold water
  shock and hypothermia\, first aid kits\, and requesting medical advice or
  assistance by marine radio.\nA little bit of knowledge is useful for all 
 crew members and ideally everyone should do the course. It can be very dif
 ficult for just one person to navigate\, helm\, call for help and resuscit
 ate at the same time!\n\nThis course is MCA approved and satisfies the req
 uirements for Coastal Skipper Yachtmaster and Advanced Powerboat certifica
 tes of competence and some commercial work afloat.\n\nIncluded in content\
 n\n 	The recovery position in a confined space\n 	CPR\, including the drow
 ning protocol\n 	Cold shock and hypothermia from immersion and/or exposure
 \n 	Seasickness and dehydration\n 	Medical assistance or advice by VHF\n 	
 Helicopter rescue\n\nThe RYA First Aid Book is provided to everyone doing 
 an RYA First Aid course. With detailed information\, clear visual aids and
  a section dedicated to marine specific content\, it’s a valuable resour
 ce for all water users.\n\n
