SPACE REQUIRED FOR IN-HOUSE TRAINING

When undertaking training it is very important that an appropriate sized space is available. This is required so that there is enough space for delegates to sit comfortably, for the instructor to lead the session and any practical’s as necessary. It remains important as part of the “Living with COVID and respiratory viruses” strategy that employers (including training organisations) consider ”Reducing the spread of respiratory infections, including COVID-19 in the workplace”  as part of our risk assessment. Available space, good hygiene, enough space for students, good ventilation etc are all a key part of this. To this end Sirius Business Services Ltd follows the advice of Public Health England the Health and Safety Executive the Resuscitation Council UK and the First Aid Quality Partnership. We therefore assess each space we provide training in with some basic questions to ensure suitability. In terms of space we require a minimum of 1.95 square metres of space for each delegate and instructor attending the training session. For some locations this will limit the number of people who can attend a session.
