On 30th April 2026 the UK Threat level was increased to SEVERE, this means a terrorist attack is highly likely.
The Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC), which includes counter terrorist experts from the UK’s intelligence agencies, police and government, is responsible for setting the threat level for the UK from terrorism. JTAC has considered recent events and intelligence and has therefore decided to increase the threat level.
